Inspiration for the week
As you have seen in the past, I love trying new things on the blog! During this time of experimentation, I decided to take The weekly Motivational Quotes, just a little further.
Introducing Inspiration for the week! Each week, I will feature:
- A motivational quote
- An inspirational video/ social media post
- An excerpt from an inspirational read
- The link to an inspirational/motivational podcast
I am so excited for this new addition to the blog and I hope that you enjoy this post!

This week’s motivational quote below can also be found on my instagram page! This quote happens to be a favorite of mine, although I cannot tell you where it is from. I love this quote because it reminds us that it is the belief in ourselves that can motivate us, or hold us back. The more we believe that we can succeed, the more likely we will take the steps to make that happen. However, if we are filled with doubt in our ability, the less chance we will do things for fear of failure.
Inspirational Social Media Post/Video
xoNecole.com happens to be one of my favorite blogs to read, and I also follow her on Facebook. I love the blog because of it’s positive and inspirational content. This week, I would like to share an inspirational video shared by xoNecole on facebook. It actually provides a nice compliment to the quote above by reinforcing the idea that you ultimately control your destiny. Not only through your actions, but through your thoughts and your feelings about yourself.
An Excerpt from an inspirational Read
I happen to love to read Eckhart Tolle, and if you haven’t already you should check him out. This week’s excerpt came from one of his books: A New Earth. This passage talks about being present, and how again your mindset determines your outcome. You can read it for yourself below!

I am subscribed to over a DOZEN different podcast. Yes, I am a bit of a podcast junkie, especially for all things positivity. One of my favorite podcasts to listen to is Dr. Jin’s Morning Mindfulness Podcast. Each day during the week he spends 2 minutes giving a pretty powerful lesson on being mindful. I absolutely love listening to his stories, he’s easy to understand and very relatable. If you happen to have an iTunes account, you can find the podcast there. Here is one episode that I really enjoyed of his last week, on Daily success: Putting together a functional plan to succeed.
